MES Teachers College whose motto is "Seek to Excel" was founded in 1958 opposite M.E.S. College, Malleswaram.  Later it was shifted to 10th Main. Presently the college is located at Rajajinagar in a serene scenic landscape.

 COLLEGE PROFILE

"Seek to Excel" is the motto of the M.E.S. Teachers College. The College was established in the year 1958. Through its academic training, the college aims at inculcating high ideals like virtues of industry, self-sacrifice, service, honesty, godliness and those handed over to us as the precious cultural heritage of this great land. Students are encouraged to achieve purity of thought, word and deed through self-discipline.

The campus is located at Rajajinagar, Bangalore which is 5 Km away from Vidhana Soudha and has a serene scenic landscape. The building includes spacious lecture halls, classrooms, computer lab, laboratories, and library all aiming to provide an ideal setting for academic perfection.

The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has accorded permanent recognition to the college from the year 1996 onwards in recognition of the quality and standard of facilities available in the institution.

The college has been upgraded as "College of Teacher Education" in the year 1998 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, with this, the college has an additional academic responsibility of providing in-service teacher development programs covering all the secondary schools of Bangalore Rural and Tumkur districts of the Karnataka State apart from teacher development programme of regular and distance mode.

The M.E.S. Teachers College has been accredited at Grade ‘A’ Level by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council, NAAC in the year 2005.

Our Objectives:

We are committed to achieve the following objectives:

• To understand and apply the principles of learning, teaching and effective human relationships.
• To experience a wide range of teaching styles, strategies and demonstrate skills appropriately.
• To develop in the student teachers an appreciation of the value of teaching profession.
• To know the role of the teacher in the community.
• To enhance the professional development of teachers by regular participation in continuing education courses for teachers.
• To provide regular in-service assistance to teachers in schools.

Students Strength:

• 100 students for one year B.Ed Programme.
• 100 students each for 1st and 2nd year B.Ed programme offered by IGNOU                (Distance mode)
• 25 students each for 1st and 2nd year M.Ed programme offered by KSOU (Distance mode).
